Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Binge Eating

Binge Eating Workshop #1

Date: Tuesday, January 20

Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Location: Online

Recovering from binge eating involves more than stopping the behaviour, it requires understanding and shifting the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that fuel it. Backed by research showing the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in treating Binge Eating Disorder, this compassionate, evidence-based workshop offers practical CBT tools to help you build a strong recovery toolkit.


Binge Eating Workshop #2

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy for Binge Eating

Facilitator: Shannon Foster (Registered Psychologist)

Date: Tuesday, February 3

Time: 6.30pm - 8.30pm

Location: Online 

If you struggle with impulsive behaviors, intense emotions, or black-and-white thinking, our Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) workshop may be a powerful fit. Designed for adults with Binge Eating Disorder or binge eating behaviours, this workshop teaches mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation skills to help you better understand and manage the emotional patterns that drive disordered eating.


Binge Eating Workshop #3

Dietician-Approved Strategies for Binge Recovery

Facilitator: Sarah Higgins (Registered Dietician)

Date: Tuesday, February 17

Time: 6.30pm - 8.30pm

Location: Online 

In this workshop, we will unpack aspects of the restrict/binge cycles and how to offer compassion and support to oneself while experimenting with changes to nutritional intake and relationship to food and body. Together, we will dive into the language created around food and eating from past and present messaging/experiences and consider new ways of thinking about, speaking about, and interacting with food, and then matching food choices to best honour unique needs.


Binge Eating Workshop #4

Self-care & Compassion in Recovery

Facilitator: Jennie Mendoza (Registered Nurse)

In this supportive space we will explore practical tools to nurture your well-being, reduce shame, and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself and your body. Together we will learn how self-kindness and mindful care can be powerful steps on the path to healing and recovery.

Rethinking Your Relationship to Body & Self

Facilitator: Jennie Mendoza (Registered Nurse)

Date: Wednesday, March 18

In a world that focuses so much on how you look, come learn how to rethink your relationship to your own body. We will explore together the connections between binge eating and self-image and dive into new ideas that may be driving the binge eating.
