Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Binge Eating

Backed by research showing the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in treating Binge Eating Disorder, this compassionate, evidence-based workshop offers practical CBT tools to help you build a strong recovery toolkit.

If you struggle with impulsive behaviors, intense emotions, or black-and-white thinking, our Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) workshop may be a powerful fit. Designed for adults with Binge Eating Disorder or binge eating behaviours, this workshop teaches mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation skills to help you better understand and manage the emotional patterns that drive disordered eating.

Dietician-Approved Strategies for Binge Recovery: Part 1

In Part 1 of this two-part workshop, participants will be invited to consider new ways of thinking about, speaking about, and interacting with food. We will dive into the language created around food and eating from past and present messaging/experiences and what makes eating complicated in our society. We will explore aspects of the restrict/binge cycles and spend time looking at the various types of hunger. And, we will start to look at ways to approach binge experiences with curiosity and find supportive ways to practice ‘attuned’ eating experiences.

Dietitian-Approved Strategies for Binge Recovery Part 2

In Part 2 of this two-part workshop, we will offer ideas and invite clients to consider ways to experiment with changes to nutritional intake and relationship to food and body. We will spend time exploring specific questions related to binge eating urges/experiences and ‘meal planning’ with some self-reflective activities. And, we will have time for questions/reflections and revisiting any material covered from both workshops in more detail if participants desire.
